How can I recover pen drive data that I cannot see and access

"my problem is that after plugging my usb pendrive when i open the pen drive to see the data i cannot see any thing on my pendrive. but when i click on pendrive properties it show that data is there in pendrive. even i can copy that hidden pendrive data to my hardisk. after copying that data do HD i cannot see it again on the hardisk. can anybody help me out.i have got transcend 1gb usb pendrive.."
